What services does Coastal Glow Cosmetics offer?

Coastal Glow Cosmetics is a nurse-led cosmetic clinic in Toukley, on the Central Coast NSW. We offer consultation-led treatments for concerns such as facial lines, facial volume and balance, lip hydration and shape, skin quality and texture, and dull or uneven skin tone. Treatments include microneedling (skin needling), microneedling with skin booster and REJURAN®. Every treatment plan is tailored following a consultation.

Where is Coastal Glow Cosmetics located?

We're located inside Defined Brow Studio at 229A Main Road, Toukley NSW 2263, and welcome clients from across the Central Coast, including Budgewoi, Norah Head, Gorokan, Lake Haven and The Entrance.

What are your opening hours?

Wednesday to Friday 9am to 7pm, and Saturday 9am to 1pm.

Who performs the treatments?

All treatments are performed by Jessica Edwy-Smith, Registered Nurse (Division 1), NMW0002083718. Jess has been a Registered Nurse since 2017, with a background in emergency nursing, occupational medicine and radiology.

Is a doctor involved in my treatment?

For certain cosmetic treatments, a consultation with a prescribing doctor or nurse practitioner is required before treatment can go ahead. This forms part of your assessment and may take place via telehealth. We'll explain the process when you book.

Do I need a consultation before treatment?

Yes. Every treatment starts with a consultation covering your concerns, medical history, suitable options (including not having treatment), potential risks, recovery and costs. There's no pressure to go ahead on the day.

How do I know which treatment is right for me?

That's what the consultation is for. We assess your skin and concerns, talk through your options and give you honest advice about what's suitable, and what isn't.

Do you offer treatment for facial lines?

Yes. We offer consultation-led treatment options for lines caused by facial movement, including the forehead, frown area, around the eyes and the neck. Suitability, risks, how long effects may last and how often treatment is repeated are all discussed at your consultation.

Do you offer treatment for the cheeks, chin and lips?

Yes. We offer consultation-led treatment options for concerns relating to facial volume and proportion in areas such as the cheeks and chin, as well as lip hydration, shape and definition. Your treatment plan is based on a clinical assessment of your anatomy. Individual results vary.

What is REJURAN®?

REJURAN® is a polynucleotide skin treatment made from purified DNA fragments derived from salmon. It may be recommended for concerns such as uneven skin texture, fine crepey skin, enlarged pores and the appearance of acne scarring. It isn't suitable for people with a fish or salmon allergy. Suitability is assessed at your consultation.

What is microneedling?

Microneedling, also known as skin needling or collagen induction therapy, creates controlled micro-channels in the skin. It may be recommended for concerns such as uneven texture, enlarged pores and the appearance of acne scarring. It can also be paired with a skin booster serum for concerns such as dehydration and dullness.

Is there downtime?

It depends on the treatment and the individual. Redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness are common after many treatments. You'll receive specific information about recovery and aftercare before treatment.

Will treatment hurt?

Discomfort varies between people and treatments. Numbing options are discussed at your consultation.

What are the risks?

All cosmetic procedures carry risks. These vary depending on the treatment and are explained in full at your consultation. Details for each treatment are also available on our [Services page].

How much do treatments cost?

Treatment plans are individual, so costs depend on your concerns and the treatment recommended. Pricing is discussed at your consultation, so you'll have a clear understanding of costs before making a decision.

Why don't you show before and after photos?

Advertising rules for cosmetic treatments in Australia are strict, and certain treatments can't be shown in before and after images. Rather than show some treatments and not others, we'd prefer to talk you through realistic expectations in person at your consultation.

Do you treat people under 18?

No. Cosmetic treatments at Coastal Glow Cosmetics are only available to clients aged 18 and over.
